Our School - Principal's Welcome

  I have great pleasure introducing Birralee Primary School to prospective parents and the wider community.

In recent years, Birralee has experienced rapid growth in student numbers. In 2014, the school had 180 students enrolled and and now we have around 600 enrolments. This growth has seen a vast amount of change in regards to the employment of new school staff and the addition of a number of new classrooms.

The teachers, aides and office staff know all the children very well – students are not just another face in the crowd at Birralee!

We are committed to developing the whole child. We place great emphasis on children developing positive self-esteem and, to this end, we expose our students to a broad variety of programs to assist them in the discovery of their passions and strengths as well as support in developing resilience in areas where a little more effort is required.

As our school declaration states:

At Birralee we learn to live and work together,
To be responsible and to think of others,
To respect our community and care for the environment,
And strive to achieve our goals.

Our students enjoy an extensive curriculum, including as its main focus, literacy and numeracy. We also take the time to expose and nurture children in performing arts, physical education and sport, S.T.E.M, information and computer technology, and inclusive friendship programs.

The recent redevelopment of our school buildings and our extensive grounds have provided our students with a state of the art learning environment.
